Mobility, Flexibility, and Stability Classes

Balance & Stretch – Stand tall and walk with confidence in this class designed to improve on your balance and flexibility. This class will help you overcome your fear of falling.

Chair Yoga – Exercises to nourish the nervous system, promote circulation, and boost the immune system. Great for seniors, those with arthritis, recovering from illness or injury.

Fundamental Yoga – An essentials class that focuses on standing & balancing poses to strengthen & open the hips, legs, back & shoulders. Simple movements to help increase the range of motion of the major joints. All combined with stretching and strengthening.

Intro Pilates Reformer – The best way to learn something is to experience it firsthand. This 30-minute class will have you learning the safety and basic operations of the Pilates reformer. Space is only limited to four people so don’t forget to register!

Mat Pilates – A mat based workout designed to help participants develop leaner, longer-looking muscles, establish core strength and stability. Props may be added to session to increase challenge.

Multi-Level Yoga – All fitness levels are welcome to this dynamic yoga class. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, modifications can be made to assist you in your journey.

Progressive Stretch and Tone – This comprehensive workout incorporates the components of fitness to keep looking young; strength, cardio, flexibility, balance, and mobility.  Start off with strength and balance training using a stability ball. Then increase your heart rate with some cardio. Finish off with flexibility and mobility using yoga techniques.

Prenatal Yoga –This Hatha style yoga class will incorporate appropriate postures to strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation, exercise the spine, and increase overall comfort within the body. Linking yoga postures with the breath will lead you to a new awareness of the mind, body and spirit, and also the spirit of your baby.

QiGong – Gain balance; achieve stress relief and increase strength and flexibility with this ancient form of Chinese meditative exercise.

Slow Flow Yoga – This is a style of yoga in which the poses are held for only a short while so they move from one pose to the next building strength and fluidity of motion.  Options are given for making each position more challenging or simpler as each person chooses.  Connecting breathing with moving is essential to these sessions.

Therapeutic Yoga – Somatics & Gentle Yoga, with an emphasis upon breath. A foundational approach for greater body/breath awareness. Reduce stress and increase coordination.

Whopping Movers – Designed for LSVT Big graduates and/or individuals with Parkinson’s disease.  A formatted class that includes a light warm-up, stretching, multidirectional sustained and repetitive movements, light resistance training, and functional balance exercises.
