Sarasota Memorial’s care for cancer patients goes beyond treatment. Our supportive care services give cancer survivors and their families the resources to thrive following treatment—to overcome the challenging side effects of cancer treatments and live their best lives.

This is what the Sarasota Memorial Thrive Program is all about. The Thrive Program offers oncology-specific, group fitness classes, rehabilitation, nutrition, counseling and other wellness services to address the side effects of cancer treatments.

Now offered in video format online, Thrive Oncology group-exercise classes are FREE for cancer patients, survivors and their caregivers/support people, and are open to HealthFit members and nonmembers. The line-up includes:

    • Oncology Tai Chi – Improve balance, strength and flexibility with gentle, fluid movement that helps calm stress during this class led by a trained Tai Chi instructor. Click here to access the class online.
    • Oncology Qigong – Promote mind-body wellness through controlled breathing, movement exercise and guided meditation during this class led by a certified instructor. Click here to access the class online.
  • Oncology Recovery Exercise – Improve balance, flexibility, strength and mobility using light weights during this class led by a licensed physical therapist. Click here to access the class online.
